Getting to Greenpoint Brooklyn is easier than you might think — whether you're flying in from across the country or heading over from Manhattan for a long weekend. Here's everything you need to know about reaching the Greenpoint Getaway by subway, ferry, car, or from any of NYC's three major airports.
By Subway — The G Train
The G train is your direct connection to Greenpoint. Take the G train to the Greenpoint Avenue stop — the Greenpoint Getaway is just a short walk from there. Coming from Manhattan? From Midtown, take the E or C train to Court Square in Long Island City, then transfer to the G train toward Church Avenue — about 25 minutes total. From Lower Manhattan, take the L train to Metropolitan Ave/Lorimer St and transfer to the G train northbound.
By Ferry — NYC Ferry East River Route
The NYC Ferry East River route stops right at the Greenpoint Ferry Pier, a 5-minute walk from the property. From East 34th Street in Midtown: approximately 35 minutes. From Wall St/Pier 11 in Lower Manhattan: about 30 minutes. Ferry tickets are $4 with your OMNY card or MetroCard — same price as the subway with a much better view.
By Car & Parking
Greenpoint is accessible by car via the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (BQE) or across the Pulaski Bridge from Long Island City. The Greenpoint Getaway includes dedicated parking — a significant advantage in New York City. No need to worry about street parking permits, alternate side rules, or expensive parking garages.
From JFK Airport (~55 minutes)
Take the AirTrain from your terminal to Jamaica station. From Jamaica, take the E train to Court Square in Long Island City, then transfer to the G train northbound to Greenpoint Avenue. Total travel time approximately 55 minutes depending on connections.
From LaGuardia Airport (~45 minutes)
Take the Q70 Select Bus Service (free with MetroCard) from any LaGuardia terminal to Jackson Heights/Roosevelt Avenue. Take the E or F train to Court Square in Long Island City, then transfer to the G train to Greenpoint Avenue. Total travel time approximately 45 minutes.
From Newark Airport (~70 minutes)
Take the Newark AirTrain to Newark Airport rail station. Take NJ Transit to New York Penn Station (about 25 minutes). From Penn Station, take the E or C train to Court Square, then transfer to the G train northbound. Total travel time approximately 70 minutes.
